Former Head Teacher of Barrhead High School. Now enjoying retirement and taking the opportunity of catching up on the hillwalking and golf I never had time for!
Arrived at faro airport from Edinburgh. Plane was 30 mins late arriving at 9pm. One of the quickest passes through I have done anywhere - 30 mins from airplane to passport check to luggage to car hire. Very organised & efficient. Might vary with times but well done Faro staff
@BruceNextLevel Head Teacher for 10 years now retired 5. I would always phone all interviewees the same day and offer feedback on their interview if not offering the job - sometimes still gave them feedback too!😂 All our jobs went out through MyJobScotland. They emailed those not interviewed
36 packs of household cleaning and personal hygiene items, supplemented with foodstuffs, ready to be delivered by @ERGoodCauses charity volunteers, to needy families in @EastRenCouncil, identified by High Schools and @FamilyFirst_ERC

@ScotlandHour@MerrynGlover Just spent 4 amazing days camping in the Cairngorms and walked up 4 of the munros including Beinn Mheadhoin. Brought my kindle and reread The Hidden Fires in the tent at night. Great to read Merryn’s description of her experience on the same mountain on the day I was on it.
@BeccaMckelvie@NetballScotland Well done Becca. Good to see you are still hitting the mark … and beyond. Looking forward to hearing of even more achievements! Mr S
@MerrynGlover@PolygonBooks Was great to get the chance to see you and Hamish ‘in a new light’. The book was great but the presentation with the words music and pictures coming together really added an extra dimension … or two. A beautiful experience- well done to you both. You clearly work well together.
@KirstyMaclean_ Well done Kirsty. Great to see you are being recognised and particularly when you have been out for the past weeks. They are missing your composure and creativity in the midfield. Hoping we will see you back soon.
@NewHead2024@Headteacherchat Practical tip- ex-HT gave me a staff photo and wrote the names out in order. Took it home and memorised it until I could identify each face with their name. Made a big difference when you greeted them by name in the corridor. Until I had to say to one ‘you weren’t in the photo’😂
@EastRenCouncil Great to hear you are still dishing out quality and to see that being recognised. Well done June. Well deserved! Miss your rolls and sausage!!
@MerrynGlover The mark of a great author - always ahead of their time. Happy new year to you when it comes for us uk mortals in 7.5 hours. And to your family down under. Andy
Thanks to the S1 pupils of @stninianshigh for their donations to @ERGoodCauses. The charity has just distributed 23 packs of food and household goods in the last week to local families in need and these donations will ensure that this support will continue into the new year.
@StLukesHigh@EastRenCouncil Always a friendly welcome when arriving at St Luke’s and a willing extra pair of hands on many occasions when needed down at Barrhead High during my time. Well deserved Stevie - glad you have been officially recognised. Andy.
@MearnsCastleHS@MCHSMathsDept@EastRenCouncil Well done to you Mr Stewart. A great achievement. I can only assume you must have had one cracking maths teacher to set you on your way! 😂
‘Can you tell the difference?’ used to differentiate butter and margarine. However it is now a question for butter.
@Lurpak has been my first choice since an early age. Always liked the taste but I’m less keen on the recent marketing.
