🚨 Israeli special forces (the Yamam unit) detained Fateh al-Ashqar (فاتح الأشقر) last night near the municipal stadium in Nablus.
This is confirmed by both Palestinian and Israeli sources.
Palestinian media (WAFA, Sada News and others) report that special forces infiltrated the area around the stadium, opened fire on a vehicle he was in, and detained him. According to them, he may have received a minor injury. There were no fatalities.
The Israeli side says that al-Ashqar was previously a commander in the Lions’ Den group (عرين الأسود) in Nablus and also served in the Palestinian Authority security forces. He had been wanted since 2022. After the arrest he was transferred to the Shin Bet for interrogation. There were no casualties among Israeli forces.

REMEMBERING ROTEM LEVI (22) 💔

Rotem Levi was only 22 years old when her life was tragically taken while she was fleeing the music festival during the October 7, 2023 attack.

She should have had a lifetime ahead of her.

Today, we remember Rotem, honor her life, and keep her memory alive.

May her memory be a blessing. 💔🙏

Rotem Rachel Levi, 22, from Yokneam, was murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023 at the Supernova / Nova electronic music festival near Kibbutz Re’im, close to the Gaza border.
She was there with friends. Together with Sivan Shaarbany, Aviya Genut and Michal Roimi they tried to hide in a ditch near the festival site. All four were killed. Rotem’s body was found and identified several days later. She was buried on October 11 in Yokneam.
She had served in the Border Police. After her mandatory service she traveled widely (the US, Morocco, eight months in South America) and had already bought tickets to Mexico to celebrate her 23rd birthday in December 2023.
This is confirmed by The Times of Israel obituary in the “Those we have lost” series and by official lists of Nova festival victims. Hundreds of people were murdered at the festival that day — one of the largest mass killings of civilians on October 7.
