“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”— Desmond Tutu.
@Mikeliberation Showed my then boss an offer letter with higher pay from a competing company (both foreign multinationals in the Telco space). He persuaded me not to go. I agreed, and eventually spent additional 10 years, with stock option, fat bonuses, etc ...
Every case is different.
@AskMichaelTaiwo Number 3 has come to stay, they can vex all they want. I have a personal experience where a Dr. misdiagnosed my issue, which aggravated what I was going through. Fortunately, I met a more experienced Dr on my next visit; got proper diagnosis and treatment on time!
@folaspicy1@DrJoeAbah@segoslavia Let's say the man was jobless and madam was the breadwinner of the season, he'll be less inclined to hit her; she may actually be the one doing the hitting...
@DrJoeAbah 'Overreaction' is usually a 'power play'. It's usually people who have 'power' over the other person that overreact, rarely the other way round. Someone in an inferior 'power position' is more inclined to accommodate the misbehaviour of the other party... that's the way it is 😂
@prettys50452851@lampadis_hq@Victorokeke_@PATFORD__ Another important point: Igbo, Yoruba, etc as collective designations for these groups are largely post-colonial designations. Most were identified by their respective local names. So, for example, Ijebu wasn't always classified as Yoruba, though they were all affiliated.
@lampadis_hq@Victorokeke_@PATFORD__ In Ibibio land, Annang, Ekid, Oron, Efik Ibibio (proper) are all dialects, but Efik was the standardised dialect in the then Cross River State. Ibibio (proper) has become the second standardised dialect of the cluster with the creation of Akwa Ibom State.
@Ntob If you know Jesus Christ and believe in Him, the behaviour of some badly behaved Christians shouldn't diminish your devotion to Him. This is intended as an analogy, nothing more.
@DrJoeAbah@UnilagVC@LinkedIn ...burner numbers are usually bought and registered by a random guy that the scammers pay (e.g., the guys buying/picking scrap metal on the street).
@DrJoeAbah@UnilagVC@LinkedIn These guys usually use burner numbers or hacked WhatsApp accounts. Law enforcement already knows MSISDNs alone aren’t enough; they also trace every IMEI the SIM/IMSI was used in. And they rarely dump iPhones 😎
@UnilagVC@DrJoeAbah@LinkedIn Dear Professor, I would recommend that, through your office, a programme (with budgetary allocations) be implemented to verify all online and social media accounts of key officers/offices and departments of the University.
@m_addict101@DrJoeAbah@asemota@UnilagVC He isn't necessarily educated. The WhatsApp messages are from a 'master' template. They operate in groups, with a 'boss' who crafts the messages, and provides guidance. The boss usually takes over if the prospect is promising.
@DrJoeAbah@UnilagVC Whenever I get a Linkedin invite from a highly placed individual like this, I only accept if they're verified, otherwise I assume it's a cloned/fake account. LinkedIn verification is free.
@DrJoeAbah@OluwatobiAjayiJ The rise of toxic, Western-style, feminism spelled the end of marriage as we knew it. Population decline in the West can be partially explained by this phenomenon. I think it's just a matter of time before it becomes our reality too. I should publish an academic paper on this 😂
@DrJoeAbah@OluwatobiAjayiJ Marriage may have to be eventually scrapped, and replaced with a 'governmental ministry of reproduction' (for arranging and regulating human reproduction, so humanity doesn't go extinct). Prostitution then elevated to 'Sex as a Service' (SexaaS), for men and women, etc ... 🤔🤭😎
