@IndiGo6E 6E 2298 has been ready to start taxing for past 15 mins but can’t do so. Why?

Passengers board with oversized cabin trolleys that clearly take up far more than their share of the overhead-bin space, and often no one at the gate stops them.

Then, once onboard, the bins fill up. Passengers who have done the considerate thing and travelled with just a small backpack or compact bag are asked implicitly or explicitly to put it under the seat in front.

The irony? The person carrying a large suitcase gets the overhead space, while the person travelling light loses precious legroom.

Perhaps passengers need to be more mindful about the size of their cabin baggage. Or, better still, boarding staff should enforce cabin-baggage limits consistently at the gate.

Travelling light shouldn’t mean being penalised for someone else’s oversized luggage.
