@kron4news That’s too late for the MOD Pizza location in Novato since that branch closed earlier this year. Hopefully, another pizza eatery or restaurant will replace it soon. And I don’t know if other build your own pizza chains like Pieology are in trouble too.
@HaydenM16 Awesome! Hopefully, you’ll meet the wonderful Jeff Flynn who manages Unitrans and have folks like @taiwanesedorito show you the ropes on driving buses. I’m so happy for you, man!
@inquirerdotnet Following up on Tyrone Piad’s article about 20 airlines eyeing to serve NAIA, is it possible to name the other airlines interesting in serving Manila? @VietnamAirlines has so far moved its Manila resumption to March 2024 instead of October 2023.
@monicamallon I can design a few potential maps for your interest and idea generation. I’ll need an email address though so that I can send them to you, along with descriptions and potential stop locations.
@Nerd4Cities I have plenty of stories to tell with safety on transit, from the outstanding to the awful. Here in SF, we have a striking contrast between BART, Muni, and Golden Gate wherein the former two deal with fare evaders and assaults, while the latter maintains its high safety record.
@monicamallon I will be brutally honest with you: while I may have dreams of running a transit agency, I would be happiest planning and implementing services for riders because that gives me hope that transit is the way forward rather than worrying about how people think of me.
@KCBSAMFMTraffic Due to two-car accident on US-101 SB at the Novato Dumps (San Antonio Rd), the backup has reached the CA-116 exit in south Petaluma. One lane is open, with multiple FD vehicles on the scene.
@SFist Hilarious that he picked that part of San Francisco near the Polk Gulch when the heart of the problem is closer to City Hall along Leavenworth Street, or next to 16th Street-Mission BART. It's projection for his bigoted base as #election2024 looms.
@totebagtransit The key reason why #munimetro ends up running LRVs every 90 seconds or better: a long, common section btwn Van Ness and Embarcadero with ATC at the helm allows staggered schedules with the J, K, M, N, and S. Hopefully the L will return as a train soon.
@Zymurge13@SharksJosh95 Right. However, it still has some players with heavy contracts like E. Karlsson, Couture, and Hertl, folks that are still much part of the Sharks’ core but may not be enough to make the team competitive. I don’t even know if Ferraro has a heavy contract as well.
@realBriceAdams I mean, E. Karlsson has served the Sharks very well last season, but will he ever win a Stanley Cup as he ages? If the answer is “possible”, then Grier should let go of another heavy contract player so that its cap space will be sufficient for younger prospects.
@realBriceAdams Right. Where do you think the #sjsharks are missing out in its long quest to win the #StanleyCup? At least Quinn and Grier are now at the helm, but there should be much more to be done through its rebuild. I’m getting anxious as to how long we must wait for them to win it all.
@SanJoseSharks@NHL I certainly hope Quinn and Grier will course correct the #sjsharks in its rebuilding process by getting the best players in the draft, developing them to their potential, and be ready to beat any team. I know it’ll take time, but the Sharks will eventually hoist the trophy.
@nabeil2009@SharksJosh95 Likewise. There are several positions that need to be filled in if we want to be competitive soon. Not to mention expanding our farm system with the Barracuda so that more younger players can learn the ropes and sharpen their skills before competing on the big stage.
@toaster92_@SharksJosh95 Consider that now, the Sharks have the number 4 spot in this year’s draft, plus several more picks in the later rounds. Hopefully, Quinn and Grier will take out a clue from Lacob and Kerr’s playbook on how to get the best players and develop them to their fullest potential.
@81Bayer@SharksJosh95 If you have access to Quinn and Grier, what would you advise them so that the Sharks can be the next Avalanche or Golden Knights in the near future?
@Zymurge13@SharksJosh95 Even if we got the number 1 spot in this year’s lottery, if Quinn, Grier, etc. don’t invest in their younger players and allow costly veterans like E. Karlsson to play without a title in their belts, then something else must change with the team or we risk an endless rebuild
@SharksJosh95 (2/2) I believe this rebuild is much needed, especially when Grier, Quinn, and company have their plates full on how to rebuild the team from (near) scratch. One thing to keep in mind, however, is we have to stay patient… even that is running low though among some fans.
@SharksJosh95 (1/2) What particularly worries me is that the #sjsharks was established more than 30 years ago, yet it has never won a #StanleyCup (the closest was 2016 when the Penguins won the title); the Knights, on the other hand, won their first title 5 years since launch.
