Are you addicted to your phone but don’t know how to stop? Below are a few tips on how to curb it.
Notice the gap the next time you have an impulse to check your phone. That urge can feel very strong, but it’s actually possible to just notice it and stay with the feeling of wanting to grab your phone without taking action. Become curious about the texture of that urge, and see if you can recognize that it’s simply a feeling you’ve been conditioned to associate with a particular response.
You can keep noticing this gap between the urge and the reaction. This also applies to other impulsive behaviors, habits, or patterns of reactivity you may have. The more often you remain in the gap without reacting, the more you weaken the automatic link between the urge and the reaction itself.
If you can do this successfully with one conditioned habit, it becomes much easier to apply the same approach to other negative habits and reactive patterns you want to change. With consistent practice over time, you’ll become better at:
1. noticing the urge to react impulsively, and
2. staying with that urge while recognizing that it’s okay to feel it fully without avoiding it or needing to act on it.
@PO_GrassRootM I don't think ADC is our problem, the main problem is electoral fraud, if we can tackle this electoral fraud, other things will fall in place.
