Help me give my students the gift of tangible and tactile learning! Kindergarten English learners will sit comfy and learn about the five senses, color, texture, shape, and size through animal puppets, letter/number bean bag sets, and more! https://t.co/kZTVXdEZlH
@garicgymro@anghyflawn I would agree one would expect an inherent sense, but I suppose it relates to the range of people who can/can't find the beat in music!
We still have an ML/EL/ESL teacher vacancy we desperately need filled at my school. If you live in piedmont nc and are qualified and interested, let me know!!
@doriecp Broccoli cheese soup!!! My mom taught and liked it too- she actually talked to the lunch ladies and found the company that made the mix and got a case of it to make at home ๐คฃ
@MoniseLSeward It's so rare I have anything but black text on white slides, I don't have time for pretty and can't have slides upstaging my antics ๐ (but mostly the time, plus accessibility!!!!)
@teachbk If you haven't already- when I was new, the one thing I asked my mentor for was a list of all the acronyms used in the school and what they mean, it helped a lot! ๐
@mckaypaints @MoniseLSeward I just commented about this elsewhere in this thread, but I know adults who did get "special" diplomas due to ec tracking and then were told to get a GED to go to college or even trade school. I don't know if this tracking is stilling practice anywhere now, but it sadly happened.
@MoniseLSeward@Ms_TeachAlot I have come across adults who were unknowingly "tracked" into a "special ec" diploma then told they still needed a GED, so they are scared to let their kids go ec like them. Surely that's only a part of it, but it explains some.
@doriecp Show a short film and have beginners write (in english) their understanding of what happened, intermediate answer short written questions in spanish. For advanced, show a wordless Pixar short and have them write about it in spanish! +this gives you a formative BOY assessment!
