Cecilia Schenetti examined how Senegalese youth react to campaigns for sedentarism. Moslem Ghomashlouyan discussed different forms of im/mobility in a Kurdish village in Iran.
Thinking back to #EASA2024 and the panel “Shaping Futures: Reimagining immobility through an anthropological exploration of waiting, stuckness and hope” co-convened by @MaarjaKaaristo @arrobilleta and Klaudia Kosicińska.
Caterina Borelli showed how the state strategically uses issues of waiting and immobility in migration. Ignacio Fradejas-Garcia discussed how the proclamation of migration crisis has been used to halt the mobilities of unauthorised migrants.

Synnove Bendixen explored the im/mobility nexus of migrants crossing the Balkan to reach EU, foregrounding the everyday experiences of im/mobility and the interruptive effects of mobility management. #EASA2024
