Recurring issue uploading new 360 video content to #YouTube for last 7 days. As video processes on YT servers, any size larger than HD doesn’t display in 360 but instead flat as EAC. Player must see VR metadata to convert to EAC, but doesn’t display interactively @TeamYouTube

@TeamYouTube Thanks, none of those suggestions makes a difference. I’ve been uploading 360 content to YouTube for six years now; as long at the correct metadata is embedded it normally works. Only thing that’s changed is this (recent) playback bug. Multiple users have experienced same issue.

@TeamYouTube Thanks. These have been uploaded using the latest build of Google Chrome on desktop, which is the easiest and (until last week) the most solid way to upload 8K 360 content. Playback issues occur in all browsers, and playback doesn’t work in latest YouTube app on iOS or Android.
