I still love the show, a lot! These complaints just prevent me from considering it a true masterpiece to be held up alongside with the Jackson trilogy and Tolkien’s own works.

Overall I’m a big fan of LotR the Rings Of Power. But I have a few ongoing concerns.

1-the decision to make “Gandalf” an amnesiac novice is strange, and I question it.

2-boosting Tom Bombadil into a major influential player is almost beyond questionable to me.

3-conflating dates and timelines of established events, such as the arrival of istari, and the time to travel between lands. (Many shows do this)

4-back burner-ing characters or entire plots for multiple episodes. (Other shows do this too, but just give us a pop-in)
