Antiquum Documentum have been putting on a series of choral services tracing the development of English public worship. Do go along and support them - 15 January, 6pm @StBartholomews.
@EHJMcMillan@StBartholomews@allytt4 Hello! We don’t yet have any plans to do a 1552 service, due in part to its similarities to 1559. Evensong presented a greater musical opportunity than a 52/59 Communion. These would be interesting for future, but there are lots of historic services still to be done!
Real beautiful 1549 masse today at Keble! So cool to see the transitional practices reconstructed, and as a real service of worship. Thank you @AntiquumD !
We are delighted to be repeating our reconstruction of the 1549 Litany & Communion in Oxford on the 25th October at 11.30am in @KebleOxford Chapel. We are excited to be collaborating with the @prayerbook_soc on this project! All very welcome to attend.
It was a delight to stage a reconstruction of the Litany & Communion from the 1549 BCP on Saturday @StBartholomews, @WalkerMarcus preached the Sermon on Obedience from the 1547 Book Homilies. Music included little known repertoire from the Hammond & Lumley Partbooks.
