Society is badly written.
Hackers who try to do good — finding vulnerabilities to fix them or exposing abuses — are often seen as automatic threats. People hear “hack” and immediately think chaos and crime.
Meanwhile, pedophile networks and child sexual exploitation rings continue operating in the shadows. One of the worst crimes imaginable destroys lives every day, yet it’s handled in sporadic bursts: occasional raids, headlines, then silence.
This feels like inverted priorities. We chase visible scapegoats while the darkest problems persist due to lack of resources, technical challenges, and weak coordination.
Real change won’t come from vigilante “shoot the predators” fantasies — that creates more injustice. It comes from:
• Stronger law enforcement & cyber units
• Ethical hackers & researchers working legally with authorities
• Better prevention, education, and anonymous reporting
• Consistent citizen pressure for real results, not just talk
Society isn’t fixed. It’s rewritten every day through better choices, laws, and focus.
We need to get the script right — especially on protecting the vulnerable.
