Yesterday was shameful. At 5am East Lothian Uncaged witnessed the arrival of 2 vans delivering macaque monkeys from @manairport then at 3pm the arrival of a van full of beagles from MBR Acres.

Rhett is 1 year old, black, beautiful, and FeLV+. FeLV+ cats can live happy, full lives with a loving indoor home, ideally solo or with other FeLV+ cats. 157 days waiting and SO gentle. 🖤 #Tucson #AdoptDontShop #WhiskersNWishes

The @clarkcountynv Animal Resource Center officially has a team to build it 🔨🦺 Yesterday, the Board of Commissioners approved the contract to be awarded to CORE Construction.

Continue to follow along as we get ready for the facility’s opening at the end of 2028.

[Rep. Mike Thompson @RepThompson]

After reviewing evidence, Woodland Police Department determined that an ICE agent’s SUV did strike U.S. Citizen Antonio Moreida in Woodland on Tuesday, and Antonio did not jump onto the hood like ICE alleged.

ICE’s history of bad behavior and lack of accountability is exactly why I took action Tuesday. I contacted the Acting Director of ICE immediately to demand answers and I support a full, independent investigation. ICE’s actions have contributed to growing distrust and fear within our communities, making accountability more important now than ever.

🦸‍♀️ JESSIE NEEDS A HERO. 🦸‍♀️

And right now, her hero might be someone who can simply open their home to her for a little while. ❤️

Jessie (#G26864) has spent far too much of her life waiting. Rescued from Georgia as a puppy, she was adopted, only to return to us just three months later. Since then, our Pet Behavior team has worked closely with Jessie to help her build confidence and learn how to navigate the world around her.

But Jessie is struggling in the shelter environment, and we desperately need to learn more about who Jessie can be in a home.

We are looking for a dedicated foster who can give Jessie a 2-week to 1-month stay in a calm, quiet environment. This time would allow our team to better understand her behaviors, routines and needs outside of the shelter, so together we can determine the best path forward to help Jessie thrive and succeed.

We know this is a big ask. Jessie is not the easiest foster. ❤️ She currently takes medication three times a day, and she needs someone experienced, patient and willing to work closely with our team.

When Jessie is comfortable, you see a completely different side of her. She is loving, affectionate, cuddly and full of kisses. She also does well with other dogs, with a meet-and-greet required.

🐾 Her ideal foster:
• Experienced with dogs who need extra support
• A quiet suburban or rural home
• Older children (14+)
• Able to administer medication 3x daily
• Patient, observant and willing to communicate closely with our team

Jessie doesn't need someone to promise forever right now. She needs someone willing to give her a chance.

Two weeks. Maybe a month. A little time in a home could tell us so much about Jessie and give our team the information we need to help her move forward.

If you think you could be Jessie’s hero, please reach out:

This is a big ask. But Jessie needs someone willing to take it on. And we’re hoping that someone is out there. 🐾❤️ Please, help us help Jessie.

Dopey is a 2yo tuxedo and FeLV+, which means he needs an indoor home, ideally solo or with other FeLV+ cats. Maybe his kennel mate, Rhett? He’s been waiting 144 days, and he is so worth it! 🖤

[Wild Bird Fund @wildbirdfund]

The “spectacles” on a blue-headed vireo help us humans identify this beautiful fall migrant, but sadly they do absolutely nothing to help this bird avoid a collision with a window.

What would help: bird-safe markings on the outside of the glass. These products, which usually involve a small pattern spaced 2 inches apart over the whole external surface of the glass, make windows visible to birds and can nearly eliminate bird collisions.

Window collisions kill at least 250,000 birds a year in NYC and more than a billion nationwide. The good, if frustrating, news is that they are so preventable!

It’s high migration all week! If you see a bird sitting or lying on the sidewalk, please gently get the bird into a small container, such as a paper bag or cardboard box. Close the container, adding a few air holes if needed, and bring the bird to WBF or another wildlife rehabber near you (https://t.co/563b4Tob8p). If you’re unable to transport right away in NYC, keep the bird with you in a quiet, dark place and contact [email protected] to ask if a volunteer is available.

These church off shoots that make these crazy little religions should be charged with murder when they do not supply medical care for their children and their children die.

@EricM_Katz @lilysnotepad @washingtonsun I was just looking this up yesterday. Historic amount of political appointees. The Trump regime. I remember Comey saying how many times in their meeting Trump pressed on about loyalty.

No Catholic I know would ever support Trump. These men are not touched by the God they supposedly know. It is the main reason I despise religion because it's just men and some women with their own interpretations. Shame. Shame. Shame.

This ad is brutal.

[Judd Legum @JuddLegum]

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband.

Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.
