According to CNN, one NATO member country may have sunk a Russian ship to stop the transfer of nuclear technology to North Korea.

The cargo ship Ursa Major, which was carrying components of two nuclear reactors, sank under unclear circumstances near the coast of Spain in December 2024.

According to the investigation, a 50 × 50 cm hole found in the ship's hull may have been caused by a "Barracuda" type torpedo.

Only the United States, several NATO allies, Russia, and Iran have this type of torpedo.

American nuclear detection aircraft flew over the incident site twice in the past year.

Additionally, one week after the incident, a Russian intelligence ship arrived at the sinking site, resulting in four more powerful explosions.
