🚨 Never let a tow truck drag your Tesla on its wheels. It could Fry your motors and VOID warranty coverage! ⚠️🚗
Every Tesla owner needs to know this before an emergency tow. One wrong move could mean thousands in out-of-warranty repairs.
Why improper towing destroys motors?
Tesla’s electric motors (especially the permanent magnet ones in Model 3/Y) act as generators when the wheels spin. Towing with wheels on the ground causes the generated electricity to build up as heat and damage motors, inverters, or the high-voltage system.
Official Tesla Towing Rules (Straight from the Manual)
• Flatbed only: All four wheels must be off the ground.
• Wheel dollies: Only for short maneuvering onto a flatbed.
• Never flat-tow or drag on the ground, even briefly. The owner’s manual explicitly warns against it.
Damage from improper towing is not covered by warranty. Always insist on a flatbed and supervise if possible ⚠️
How to Enable Tow Mode (Critical Before Loading) 👇🏼
This disengages the parking brake for winching (limited to walking speed, short distances only):
1. Ensure the car is in Park and secure (chock the tires).
2. Press and hold the brake pedal.
3. On the touchscreen: Controls > Service > Towing.
4. Tap Enter Tow Mode (it turns blue when active).
Exit the mode once loaded and secured.
Pro tip: Keep a printed copy of your model’s towing instructions in the glovebox or saved on your phone. Many tow operators aren’t familiar with EVs.
Share this with your Tesla friends and family. It could save someone’s drivetrain and wallet. Better informed than sorry!

Breaking:
Today, July 21, 2026, @Tesla began rolling out Grok in the Netherlands. The AI assistant is included in Tesla’s Summer Release software update, the free rollout of which to eligible vehicles has commenced.
Integrated into a Tesla, Grok can provide navigation instructions at the driver's request—whether setting a destination, adjusting routes on the fly, or discovering points of interest. Beyond navigation, Grok enables hands-free calling, allows drivers to search for their favorite songs or podcasts using the media search function, and adjusts the vehicle's climate control. Grok can also consult the vehicle's owner's manual and provide expert advice on vehicle operation, optimal usage, maintenance, and the interpretation of dashboard warnings.
Grok is currently being rolled out and is available on eligible versions of the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y. To activate and use Grok, users must have a Premium Connectivity subscription or a stable Wi-Fi connection. Conversations are anonymous to Tesla and not linked to the vehicle, ensuring owner privacy.
Amazing news for all owners in The Netherlands!🇳🇱

Last week I got permission to drive again. First time in a year!
Why? A year ago, I blacked out behind the wheel and crashed straight into another car. We had our three kids in the back (our youngest was 2 months old at the time), but thankfully everyone was okay.
Turned out to be a form of epilepsy, so I wasn't allowed to drive for a year.
(Which is super practical with 3 young kids 🙈 My wife drove me pretty much everywhere for a whole year ❤️)
The thing is... Being allowed to drive and feeling safe are two different things. What if it ever happens again?
Hopefully never, but there's no way to be 100% sure.
So yesterday, we picked up our Tesla Model Y with Full Self Drive 🎉
I've followed the technology for years, mainly because I'm a nerd and think it's cool (after all, my business runs on AI from A-Z) 🤓
But after the accident, it stopped being just a fun tech feature.
Sure, I still have to pay attention, but it's amazing how well it drives (better than some humans 😂).
For us, it feels like an extra layer of protection.
Funny how quickly technology can go from "that would be cool" to "I'm really glad this exists."
🚗✨ Smooth FSD Supervised magic in the Netherlands near my house. 🇳🇱
Watch as Tesla confidently handles traffic, slows for a construction tractor on the right, gives space to cyclists, and merges seamlessly, all while staying calm and in control. Speed drops naturally then resumes without drama.
This is real-world Level 2+ autonomy doing its thing. Impressive safety and composure.
It’s ready for more countries. 🇪🇺 🧿

Tesla Invents Breathable Glass?
Tesla has filed a patent for a new kind of panoramic roof glass that could make vehicles quieter, cooler, and more efficient.
Instead of being a normal solid glass roof, the design uses multiple layers of glass with a small air gap inside. The inner glass layer has tiny holes. Tesla can push heated or cooled air through that gap and into the cabin, turning the roof into part of the climate-control system.
The same holes and air chambers can also absorb road, wind, and tire noise. By changing the hole size, spacing, glass thickness, and air gap, Tesla can tune the roof to block specific sounds.
The big idea is that Tesla’s glass roof would no longer just let in light. It could also help cool the cabin, reduce HVAC energy use, improve range slightly in hot weather, and make the car quieter and more comfortable.
Statement on the Approval of Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in Germany
Germany has long been recognized as a global leader in automotive engineering, road safety, and technological innovation. The evaluation of advanced driver assistance systems should therefore be based on objective safety data, independent assessments, and real-world operational experience.
The experience in the Netherlands demonstrates that Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) can be deployed within a strict regulatory framework. Its approval followed an extensive assessment by the competent authority, with safety, system performance, and regulatory oversight as the primary considerations. Since its introduction, the system has continued to be monitored.
A similarly thorough evaluation in Germany would allow consumers to benefit from an innovative technology while maintaining Germany’s high standards for road safety. Where objective evidence demonstrates compliance with all applicable legal and technical requirements, consideration should be given to making this technology available to German drivers.
We respectfully encourage @ChristianHirte and the competent German authorities to evaluate the available independent evidence and reach a decision based on safety, scientific assessment, and innovation. Germany has the opportunity to once again lead the future of mobility.
Safety and innovation are not competing objectives. When combined through rigorous regulation and evidence-based
decision-making, they deliver the greatest benefit to road users, industry, and society.

23 years ago, we set out to prove that electric cars could be great – not just great electric cars, but the best cars overall.
We’ve gone from one electric sports car to
– Over 9 million vehicles on the road
– Model Y becoming the world’s best-selling car of any kind only 3 years after first deliveries
– 5 Gigafactories & other manufacturing sites across 3 continents
– The largest & most reliable fast charging network w/ over 80,000 Superchargers globally
– Energy generation & storage systems helping power homes & grids (over 1 million Powerwalls installed, 70+ GWh of industrial energy storage operating globally across 2,200+ projects)
Today, we’re bringing AI into the real world with autonomy @Tesla_AI and robotics @Tesla_Optimus.
Tesla is only getting started – a world of amazing abundance awaits
One of the most interesting parts of our interview with Tesla VP Lars Moravy wasn't just about Optimus, it was why @Tesla thinks it can win!
Tesla VP @larsmoravy said Tesla's biggest advantages are manufacturing at scale, designing high-performance actuators, and using real-world AI trained on millions of hours of data.
He also shared why Tesla started with a humanoid design. People naturally trust something that looks familiar, making it easier to introduce robots into everyday life before exploring other designs.
It's a reminder that building a great robot isn't just about AI.
It's also about engineering, manufacturing, and getting people to accept it.

A big announcement is coming from Tesla on Tuesday July 7th!
Listen to Tesla’s Lars Moravy say “a week from Tuesday there will be some cool news about things happening around Giga Texas as part of the scaling effort”!
Our interview with Lars should drop tomorrow.
This is definitely one to watch for all $TSLA investors. Jeff and I counted over 12 important things he confirmed or revealed.
