We love you so much, Kruk

Thank you for all the memories 🥹

Mike Krukow came to the Giants in 1983 when I was 22 years old, so in a lot of ways he’s been part of my Giants life for more than 40 years.

I put the lyrics together for this song and asked Suno AI to create the music with kind of a Springsteen feel. I think they did a great job with it.

so here’s my tribute to Kruk. player, broadcaster, storyteller, and just a huge part of what Giants baseball has meant to me all these years.

forever Giant 🧡🖤

It’s Kruk and Kuip Day in the City and County of San Francisco!

Today we will proudly honor the Giants legends ahead of their final game together in the broadcast booth this Sunday.

Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper became teammates with the San Francisco Giants in 1983, beginning a friendship and partnership that would come to define generations of Giants baseball.

After their playing careers, Kruk and Kuip took that partnership to the broadcast booth, where for more than three decades they have brought Giants baseball into the homes, cars, and lives of fans across San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Through their humor, friendship, knowledge of the game, and unmistakable calls—from Kruk’s “Grab some pine, meat!” to Kuip’s “It is outta here!”—they made the whole city feel like their teammates.

Kruk and Kuip gave voice to some of the greatest moments in San Francisco Giants history, including Barry Bonds’ record-breaking 756th home run, Matt Cain’s perfect game, and three World Series championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014.

For generations of San Franciscans, the sound of Kruk and Kuip has been the sound of Giants baseball—a familiar voice at the end of a long day, a connection between generations of fans, and a reminder that when you turned on the game, you were home.

Together, Kruk and Kuip have become one of the most beloved broadcasting duos in baseball history, and to generations of Giants fans, they are simply the best to ever do it.

Kuip was VERY relaxed at home when he heard Kruk's home run call 😂

Drew Gilbert is a totally fine platoon outfielder. Can play all 3 positions. Fun player that is hated on far too much.

Kruk came into the weight room my rookie year after I threw in the Bay Bridge spring training game the previous night. He said “you need to trust the stuff you have, it’s good enough to get big leaguers out”. That belief is still something I recall to this day. Thank you Kruk 🐐

@NBCSGiants Genuinely brought me to tears watching this. Can’t get a grip on the fact that he’s retiring🥹
