Η φωτογραφία δείχνει έναν Παλαιστίνιο κρατούμενο με δεμένα μάτια, τα χέρια του πισθάγκωνα δεμένα, συνδεδεμένα με μια σιδερένια ράβδο και ένα ξύλινο ραβδί και το σώμα του δεμένο με σχοινί, σε ένα πτυσσόμενο κρεβάτι κατασκήνωσης.

Ο συγκεκριμένος Παλαιστίνιος ταυτοποιήθηκε από την οικογένειά του και ονομάζεται Αμίν Αλ-Γκουλ.
Απήχθη στις 14 Νοεμβρίου 2023 στη Γάζα από στρατιώτες του Τάγματος Netzah Yehuda του Ισραήλ, μέρος της Ταξιαρχίας Kfir, βασανίστηκε φρικτά και με κάθε τρόπο και φωτογραφήθηκε δεμένος και με τρόπο εξαιρετικά εξευτελιστικό για την ανθρώπινη οντότητα.

Η εικόνα δημοσιεύτηκε από τον Ισραηλινό στρατιώτη Josef Benamou, ο οποίος στη συνέχεια διέγραψε τη φωτογραφία και αφαίρεσε αναγνωριστικά στοιχεία από τους λογαριασμούς του στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα αφού άρχισε να κυκλοφορεί ευρέως η φωτογραφία και να υψώνεται διεθνής κατακραυγή αλλά τα πάντα καταγράφηκαν από τον λογαριασμό @tamerqdh.

Σύμφωνα με τις μαρτυρίες της οικογένειάς του και πρώην κρατουμένων, ο Αμίν Αλ-Γκουλ κρατείται σε ισραηλινή φυλακή από τον Νοέμβριο του 2023 και η υπόθεσή του αναδεικνύει την ανάγκη για μια ανεξάρτητη έρευνα σχετικά με τη μεταχείριση και τις συνθήκες των Παλαιστινίων κρατουμένων.

Ο στρατός του Ισραήλ, μετά τον σάλο που προκάλεσε η δημοσίευση της συγκεκριμένης φωτογραφίας δήλωσε ότι διερευνά το περιστατικό και ισχυρίζεται ότι θα ληφθούν μέτρα κατά του στρατιώτη.

Με δυο λόγια λέει γενικόλογες ανοησίες και μπαρούφες- όπως κάθε φορά που βγαίνει στο φως ένα ντοκουμέντο βασανιστηρίων Παλαιστινίων- γιατί ο στρατιώτης έκανε αυτό που διδάχθηκε και ίσως θα πάρει και έπαινο για τις επιδόσεις του.
