✔️Bout operated a massive global weapons-trafficking business beginning in the 1990s, earning him the nickname "Merchant of Death".

✔️Conspired to sell millions of dollars in military weapons to the FARC, a designated foreign terrorist organization.

✔️Agreed to the deal with the explicit understanding that the weapons would be used to attack Americans in Colombia.

✔️Declared the United States was his enemy and stated that the terrorists' "fight against the United States was also his fight".
