I’m surprised (I shouldn’t be) that RIPE and others who administer the internet are trumpeting neutrality when even the Swiss govt has understood that “neutrality” in the face of mass murder has another, less pleasant name.

@bretfausett The “local internet community” has always been a fig leaf. When the Russians take over and .UA is being run by the same people, but under Russian control, no-one will suggest consulting the local internet community in Ukraine.

@RegLevy I don’t recall RIPE or similar organizations saying bupkus when Egypt took down their own ccTLD during the Arab Spring. I suppose when Russia completes their takeover they will hand over .UA to the Kremlin — in the name of neutrality.
