@DrewDaywalt we read ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ today and one of my students approached me with this picture. He said, “I gave gray crayon a break and drew the world’s smallest elephant” @StecchiniM@AntrimSchool
The new Hour of Code app Music Lab is a big hit with my 8th graders. I think this is our tenth year participating in this exciting event. Thanks @codeorg@StecchiniM@AntrimSchool@ptbeachsuper
We created a light alarm with our Microbits. The students were amazed to learn that in addition to putting out light, leds can also measure the amount of light going into them. We used the display as a type of light sensor. @StecchiniM@AntrimSchool@ptbeachsuper
Some new furniture was added to our library today. By the reaction of the first class to try it out I think it will be a big hit. @AntrimSchool@StecchiniM@ptbeachsuper
We programmed the schoolyard game ‘Rock Paper Scissors’ yesterday. Our challenge for the day was to modify the game to mimic the Big Bang Theory’s ‘Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock’ version of this classic. @StecchiniM@AntrimSchool@ptbeachsuper@bigbangtheory
Today we replicated the classic Magic 8-ball experience with our Microbits. I don’t have to consult the oracle to know that they enjoyed the programming challenges. @ptbeachsuper@StecchiniM@AntrimSchool@Mattel
