What if married couples in India were allowed to file a Joint Income Tax Return instead of two separate individual returns? 🤔
Right now, under the new regime, an individual can end up paying zero tax up to ₹12 lakh. But what if the total family income, considering both spouses, could be tax-free up to ₹20 lakh or even ₹24 lakh?
Let's dive in! 🧵

Good education is a luxury - which middle class can not afford
My daughter will start Grade 1 next year, and this is the fee structure of one of the schools we are considering in our city. Note that other good schools also have similar fees.
- Registration Charges: ₹2,000
- Admission Fees: ₹40,000
- Caution Money (Refundable): ₹5,000
- Annual School Fees: ₹2,52,000
- Bus Charges: ₹1,08,000
- Books & Uniform: ₹20,000
Total: ₹4,27,000 per year!
This is the price of quality education in India. Can you afford it even if you earn 20 lakh a year? - NO!!!
Why? Because 50% of your $20k income is extorted by the government in form of Income Tax, GST, VAT on petrol, Road tax, Toll Tax, Professional tax, Capital Gain, Land Registry charges and so on. Then you still have to pay for term insurance, health insurance premiums, and PF, NPS for a old age pension. At 20L income you fall in the highest 30% + CESS tax bracket, do not qualify for government schemes, and do not receive any freebies or loan waivers like rich.
In the remaining ₹10L, Either you can h ave food, clothes, pay rent or EMIs, and save something or you can pay school fees for your two kids ... decide!!
Which one would you choose?

Here’s why the new NPS Vatsalya scheme is a complete disaster 👇
Let me show you the harsh reality of #SwachhBharat.
👉The Incident;
I’ve witnessed this many times before, but today I was able to captured it on video. The train attendant, like many others, removed the trash bag from the bin, inserted a new one, and casually tossed the old bag—filled with waste—out of the moving train. The compartment is clean, so his job is done, right? But who cares about the thousands of kilometers of tracks now littered with our trash?
👉The Reason
We all want to keep our compartments, homes, neighborhoods, and cities clean. But what happens to the trash once it leaves our sight? Few of us think about where it ends up. Much of what we dispose of through the ‘gadi wala’ gets dumped in the outskirts of cities, piles up in landfills, or pollutes our rivers.
The real issue runs deeper than just littering. We ignore the critical infrastructure needed to handle waste. We dont even know about waster management, recycling plants, sewage treatment centers, and proper waste segregation. Govt also dont care because these solutions don’t attract votes or immediate attention.
👉A small solution
Lets take a small action else this post will be buried too in the countless trash of tweets. I am not calling for any punitive measures against the cleaner or vendor. Instead, I ask the railway authorities to implement proper guidelines for waste disposal on trains. During long journeys, bins need to be emptied multiple times.
- What is the attendant supposed to do with the trash?
- Where should it be stored?
- Is there a protocol in place?
We need answers, @RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw.
Let’s make sure this isn’t just another post but a starting point for real change. Share this post to spread awareness and demand the right solutions. Together, we can keep India truly clean.
When the owner of a small business, like Annapoorna restaurant in Coimbatore, asks our public servants for a simplified GST regime, his request is met with arrogance and outright disrespect.
Yet, when a billionaire friend seeks to bend the rules, change the laws, or acquire national assets, Modi Ji rolls out the red carpet.
Our small business owners have already endured the blows of demonetisation, an inaccessible banking system, tax extortion and a disastrous GST. The last thing they deserve is further humiliation.
But when the fragile egos of those in power are hurt, it seems humiliation is exactly what they’ll deliver.
MSMEs have been asking for relief for years. If this arrogant government would listen to the people they would understand that a simplified GST with a single tax rate would solve the problems of lakhs of businesses.
It should have been configured properly at the time of net meter conversion. These kind of manual process opens a door for these corrupt officials who expect chai paani kharcha for every sign they do and to get the work done.

I created an account on https://t.co/sCo1HLMDcD It took me 9 days to raise feasibility approval request due to so many bugs. Now it's been a month, and the request is still in waiting state. So much for digital India.
