Remote work changed my life more than my salary ever did. The money obviously matters, but the real luxury is no commute, quiet mornings, midday walks, dinner plans after work, and actually having enough energy left to enjoy a life outside of my job.
In this life, sha, don’t let anybody rush you.
At 33, with a first-class degree, I was still sleeping on my parents’ couch in Ebute Metta, trying to figure life out.
I didn’t get my dream job until I was 36. I got married at 35 and started married life in a room and parlour tiny rooms in Mushin.
I started a business at 38 and failed woefully.
I tried again in my 40s. Failed again.
At 46, I opened an art gallery at Adeniran Ogunsanya, Lagos. It failed too.
At 47, I returned to the yoghurt business. Failed again.
At 48, we started again.
Then, at almost 50, I was compulsorily retired from my job.
Instead of seeing it as the end, I went fully into the yoghurt business.
I relocated to the UK at almost 52.
By 54, we had recorded over ₦2 billion in sales.
So please, be inspired by other people’s success, but never allow their success to put you under pressure.
Some people bloom at 25.
Some at 35.
Some at 50.
Some even later.
Your timeline is different.
Keep learning.
Keep trying.
Keep failing forward.
Keep moving.
You are not late. You are still writing your story.
Good evening.😊

“The pain is immense, it will take time for this wound to heal.
But I also choose to hold on to all the good things, all matches we turned around by giving everything and moments that will remain in our memories forever.
I will always remember the support of an entire country that, together with the work and effort of this group, brought us back once again among the best teams in the world.
Today, it is difficult to appreciate what we achieved… but this group has really reached two consecutive World Cup finals.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every greeting and every message.
Once again, we managed to come together as a country and stand united, sharing the immense pride of being Argentine.
I also want to congratulate Spain on winning World Cup”. 🇪🇸
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I need your help.
After an ankle surgery and having spent over 3M my ankle didn’t heal properly, I’ve been in pain since 2023 but I've been managing it with medicines but the last three weeks I've not being able to stand or walk and the pain is unbearable. Doctors say I need a final corrective surgery which is (ankle fusion surgery)to walk normally again.
The surgery will cost ₦1,000,000. With post op care, medication, physio , the total needed is ₦1,500,000.
Any amount you can give will bring me closer to being pain-free and getting my life back. Please help me 🧎🙏🙏

Grief Diary Entry:
1. Once you are 21 yrs & above, if you hear that a friend of yours has lost a Parent pls Call them, Pay a Visit and be there for them. I always did this when both my Parents were alive and Now I’ve lost my Father The Love & Support has been very Helpful.
2. The Loss of a Father is More Damaging if the Kids are still Young and The Wife Is Unemployed. Nowadays Consider your family lucky if you Lose a Parent when your Last born is done with their Education & already working. There is Less Financial based suffering.
3. If you are Grieving there will be a Loud Voice in your Head telling you get Drunk, Do Drugs and Get Wasted to get tru the Sorrow. It’s Imperative that you Ignore that Voice. It will only lead to Destruction, More Depression and the possible Loss of your Life in an accident. 😢💔🕊️ #RIPSirClem
Egbon Temisan,
The last time we saw on the Estate, you did not even see me, I parked, alighted from my car and joyfully came to greet you. Despite the fact that you didn’t even see me. This is to show how much I respect you.
Hence, out of respect for you and many other people we both know, I want to beg you to please desist from this kind of inappropriate online shenanigans.
In clear terms sir, DON’T EVER TALK TO ME LIKE THIS ONLINE!
I still want to see you and your family (maybe) and greet you normally. I know where you stand politically and I can bet you there too many stinking baggages on the head of your party and candidate but I won’t directly take it on you OUT OF RESPECT.
So, please sir, let’s keep it clean out here so we won’t dent years of mutual respect as former colleagues.
Thanks and God bless you Sir.
Maresca sacked. I don't even know how I feel about this one.
I know how I feel about the owners though. They don't look like they 'care' about the club as long as the books look good. Shame.
Hot take, and this one is for my close friends.
I know some of you haven’t forgotten that I lost my dad. But I also feel like, after a while, people forget to remember. The check-ins reduce. The awareness fades. Life moves on for everyone else, which is fair tbh. It’s not a personal thing so that’s normal.
But whe I decline invites and people ask, “Why aren’t you coming? What happened?” I’m always a bit stunned. Like… take a wild guess? Everything is still fresh. I lost a parent. Someone actually died in my life this year.
It may not feel that deep to you, but it is to me.
Sometimes I’m just not in the mood. Sometimes I don’t have the capacity. And yes, in an ideal world, you’d still be checking in, because grief doesn’t expire (mine isn’t even up to 8 months). 💀
And when people say things like, “You carry grief well,” I honestly don’t know what that means. How exactly am I supposed to carry it? Loudly? Quietly? Performatively?
Just because I’m not always talking about it or posting about it doesn’t mean it’s not heavy. This wasn’t a random loss. This was my dad. A parent. My person.
So, yeah. 🫠
She called me and was screaming.
she said "I won!" "There were so many people but I was among the winners!".
It was a proud sister moment for me, I was sooo happy!!
But looking at her right now, it feels like she's leaving me slowly, my girl needs help and I can't do it alone.
The reason you’re not growing isn’t lack of skill.
It’s because you’ve normalized your own brilliance.
Let me show you how “The Curse of Knowledge” & “Familiarity Blindness” are quietly holding you back 🧵:
