The biggest injustice in the education system.

One student pays ₹1 lakh in fees.

Another pays ₹3,000.

Both get the same education.

One student scores 70/100 and still doesn't get a seat.

Another scores 30/100 and gets the same seat.

For the last 70 years, this is so normalised that nobody even treats that as an injustice.

If E10 cars can run on E20 "without any corrosion, wear and tear, or reduction in the life of the car," then why was it mandated for car manufacturers to make E20-compliant cars? Yunhi? Bakchodi mein?

Why do car makers write E10 only and E20 only in the respective cars' user manuals and on the inside of the petrol lid? If anything can run on anything, then what exactly is the E85 Wagon R that Maruti recently launched, of which only three units are sold in a month? What does the word "compliant" in an E85-compliant car even mean?

What exactly is an E20-compliant vehicle? By definition, it's a vehicle engineered to safely and reliably run on E20 fuel. That also implies a non-E20-compliant vehicle is not designed for E20. Otherwise, the term "compliant" becomes meaningless.

So my question to Mr. @nitin_gadkari is simple: Why was E20 fuel rolled out nationwide when most vehicles on Indian roads were not E20-compliant?

If the answer is, "Nothing happens. Non-compliant vehicles can also run on E20," then what was the rationale behind mandating manufacturers to produce E20-compliant vehicles in the first place? Either E20 compatibility is technically necessary, in which case introducing E20 before the vehicle fleet was ready was questionable. Or it isn't necessary, in which case the compliance requirement itself appears redundant.

You can't simultaneously argue that E20 compliance is important enough to mandate for new vehicles, yet claim it doesn't matter because older, non-compliant vehicles can run on E20 anyway.

By the same logic, why stop at E20? Why not go full aatm-nirbhar and switch directly to E100? If compatibility doesn't matter, then non-E100-compliant vehicles should run on E100 too. Clearly, that's not how engineering works. So where exactly is the technical justification?

I CAN'T DEFEND/SUPPORT ANYTHING ON ETHANOL ABOVE E-20.

Anything above E20 is beneficial only if you own a certified flex-fuel vehicle which are presently on available in Bharat.

From what I understand: Higher ethanol blends can lead to:
-Lower mileage (ethanol contains less energy than petrol)
-Corrosion of fuel system components
-Compatibility and warranty issues in non-flex-fuel vehicles

Max permissible is E20 in present condition as cars manufactured since 2023 are designed to absorb this blend to max level. Not beyond that.

I'm definitely not in support of paying full amount for car to have it's life reduced later.

Vehicle buyers pay huge upfront taxes, fees, and cesses. In return, they deserve the basic right to buy the exact fuel their vehicle engines were designed to run on.

If the govt wanted to "experiment" with E20 fuel, they should have done it responsibly by either buying a sample fleet of second-hand cars to test in a controlled settings or invite willing citizens to opt-in using subsidized fuel.

Forcing a mandatory policy onto everyone first and checking if it damages their engines later is outrageous. Treating the entire public as involuntary test subjects is a massive overreach.

Why the PM said what he said in Hyderabad today about WFH, saving petrol, avoiding destination weddings, not buying gold for a year, etc.

India imports massive quantities of both crude oil and gold, and both are paid for in dollars. In a period of geopolitical instability, if crude oil prices rise sharply while gold imports and luxury foreign spending continue unchecked, it puts enormous pressure on India’s foreign exchange reserves, trade deficit, rupee stability, and inflation.

Oil is a necessity. Gold and luxury foreign expenditure are lnot. From a policymaking perspective, reducing non-essential dollar outflow during economic uncertainty becomes strategically important.

If people don't save fuel, keep buying imported gold at record levels, and spend heavily abroad, the pressure eventually hits the rupee itself. A weaker rupee makes imports more expensive, fuel prices rise, transportation costs go up, and eventually the price of almost every commodity in the economy starts increasing.

So his appeal is logical for collective good.
