Dear Hindus, especially the ones who find merit in at least some of the things I say/report. I have an important request.

The truth dies in darkness. The work done by good men and women comes to naught because of collective ignorance. Because of our Samaj’s collective short term memory. The State often forgets because we forget. The judiciary often looks away because we look away. Nobody will fight for those who refuse to fight for themselves.

Those on Twitter, I would assume, are the ones who don’t despise the written letter. Those on Twitter I assume are far more inclined to reading and researching compared to several other platforms, even television.

When I started reading and reporting the Delhi anti-riots chargesheet, I was and still am mostly alone. The only one. And I don’t say this with pride. I say this with deep disappointment.

When facts remain unknown and cases recede from public memory, it becomes easier for the powers that be to take us for granted.

Justice dies in darkness. Our collective ignorance is their weapon.

Now, my request. In the Gyanvapi case, I beg you to not repeat the mistake we did in Delhi Riots (which we can still fix).

In the Gyanvapi case, read. Read everything. Find uncomfortable truths, that the Muslim side does not want publicised. Scream about it. Then read some more.

Read everything. Write about it. If you think it’s important info, tag me. If not me, tag other platforms and tag till one of us listen and report.

Let’s not allow the truth to die in darkness. Let’s not allow justice to recede.
