Transitioning to a 5-day banking week might help reduce operational costs and allow for reinvestment in tech and services. #5DayBankingNow#AIBEA@PMOIndia https://t.co/LqAkUIBSqQ
Employees are yielding more hours for a fair 5-day week; let’s not turn a deaf ear to their legitimate demands. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/ZsyovIzYci

India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

As the GOI has decided to launch IPO for gramin banks.
IPO side effects :
1. There will be a change in the basic structure of rural banks.
2. There will be a change in the priorities of the loan , At present 90% of the loan is given to the priority sectors

Giving Gramin Bank in private hands means
Reducing primary sector lending,
Gradually withdrawal of support to Back bone of india "Farmer"
Can any private bank serve rural people as we are doing now, see the figures
Diluting the capital structure of RRBs will definitely impact their unrelenting services to the most ignored and lower strata of society, be it senior citizens, farmers, old age pensioners or people living in extreme rural areas. Therefore, we oppose IPO

34259 crore reserves have been accumulated by Gramin banks in their 46 years of service by providing services to the poor and downtrodden sections, this is the real reason why the government wants to sell Gramin banks...

Gramin banks as whole have been in loss only 2 times in the last 25 years, that too only because the order regarding pension was given by the Supreme Court on 25 April 2018. Due to which the banks had to make provision from their profit loss account.
