"Shias, Christians and Ahmadis". Pak carried out the largest genocide after WW2 (Pol Pot was a close 2nd), killing 6 million hindus in East Pak. A pogrom documented w/1st person creds by a US envoy.
Islamist wolf in islamist wolf's clothing, not terribly useful as an idiot..
This is how @ShekharGupta lost credibility - the coup story apart.
To suggest that these institutions enjoyed unchallenged public trust until now is to erase history.
The Constitution?
During the Emergency Indira Gandhi suspended our fundamental rights, jailed political opponents and curtailed civil liberties. She also amended the Constitution 31 times.
The Judiciary? The shamefully humungous pendency tells you ordinary citizens are way down the list whereas crooks and terrorists get midnight hearings. Ask most Indians they will tell you except for the powerful no one has ‘faith’ in the justice system.
The Election Commission? Go back to the era of booth capturing, ballot-box theft and electoral malpractice. Lalu, Mamta (their terms in office were pure hell) and many others owe their power only to the silence and helplessness of the EC.
We remember. We witnessed.
And we will not allow selective amnesia and in convenient narratives go unchallenged.
Most people might not remember that from every Rs 10,000 crore collected in a new fund offer, the mutual fund charged the investors Rs 600 crore as marketing fee. In addition there was the front commission.
Both were removed over the years and the industry has become cost efficient and seen strong growth.
The same is true for the stock market.
Reduction of transaction fees, commissions and costs, along with greater transparency and regulatory guard rails has led to an exponential growth in the Indian stock and mutual fund markets.
Insurance has lagged the reform curve.
Greater cost efficiencies and transparency will benefit not just the individual but also the industry.

You can give a million rebuttals to these illogical, selective, propaganda-driven foreign media outlets, their sepoys, and their masters - it only encourages them. What they can't stand is the rebuttal Modi dishes out to them once every five years.
That, is what crushes them.
Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed settled millions of Bangladeshis in Assam changing demographic balance permanently - was awarded with the Presidency
Communists & TMC repeated that for Bengal
Congress wants that for the rest of India - this is the real vote chori
Let me tell you my personal SIR experience. For a few years, I had lived in Delhi. I registered to vote there and my old registration in Kolkata also stayed. So for some years, I was registered in two places to vote. In this round of SIR, my Delhi registration got deleted as that is not my primary residence anymore.
My wife lived and voted in Mumbai for her entire life - then voted in more recent years in Kolkata. She was asked to come for an in-person SIR hearing in Kolkata early this year. A pile of documents had to be prepared. The hearing was done, vote retained in Kolkata.
The SIR process is necessary for a functional democracy. For the few thousand thugs and virulent rascals on the streets opposing it, hundreds of millions support the process. It is 100% constitutional. It has been done many times before and shall be carried out again in due course.
A gang of street ruffians and foreign-sponsored scumbags cannot overturn it. If they try violence, they shall be paid back on the same coin by the police forces. In fact do more so that these thugs don’t try again. FAFO.
Kapil Sibal is whining because his clout and fixing power in courts has been wiped out over time. Cope ✌️
Most RWs are guilty of not speaking up for businesses and enterprises that lose revenue because of protests. Writing a social media thesis on manufacturing, reforms, and wealth creation is good, but start focusing on saving our MSMEs from the protest economy. Speak up. Urgent!
@RupakChatto@srajagopalan She, like many brown sepoys, are bad-faith actors. She knows all these and more. They're just serving their masters to help fanning the heat.
‘Whoever governs must have that iron in him, or give it up. This is not a game of cards. This is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this. And as long as I'm in charge, nobody's going to knock it down’ (LKY.)
Hobbes before Locke. No liberty is possible without order. Yes, we can disagree about the balance or the tradeoff but we can’t attack the superstructure itself. Long live the Republic. Down with Matsya Nyaya.
This used to be true 20 years ago, not anymore. From @deepigoyal to @vijayshekhar to @Nithin0dha founders have come from places you might not have imagined.
And then, a Chandra ran Tata Sons and Tcs. Aditya Puri, Sanjay Bakshi etc also led great cos inside India.
Microsoft was run by founders for a long time before management went to someone else, it's happened in India too, from Britannia to M&M to a bunch of other long run companies.
We need to get with the times. The west focused media seems to live in an India of the 1980s. Merit does work in India.
At least 65 criminal cases are pending against Jackson Laboratories and its directors, in 18 states and Union territories.
No conviction appears in court records going back to 1997.
My piece for ORF on why the system keeps forgetting:

Shekhar’s mental decline is wincingly obvious. The constitution if & when modified is done so by principles laid down in said constitution; the top judiciary selects itself; the election commissioner selection at least has the modicum of opposition inclusion since 2023.
6 million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, you idiots who keep spouting about Nuremberg trials comparisons. And even Emergency. Are you or your fathers being taken for forced sterilizations? 25 lakh men were sterilized WITHOUT consent in 1 year
