Today, we bring to you the story of #Delhi. The matter of Delhi's statehood has always been contentious. It poses the long-debated dilemma - does Delhi belong to all Indian citizens or is it to be regarded as an autonomous territory with its unique identity?
If it were a country, the state of Uttar Pradesh would be the 4th largest in the world in terms of population. The state has the highest political clout of 80 lok sabha seats, and has produced 14 prime ministers to date. Despite being such a political heavyweight, it had a relatively stable journey of state formation. Delve into the fascinating history of Uttar Pradesh with us!
FLAME University, in partnership with the @Center4Land, is thrilled to invite you to the ‘7th India Land and Development Conference,’ taking place from November 1-3, 2023.
The India Land and Development Conference (ILDC) has evolved into a pivotal annual gathering for land stakeholders across the Global South. With a history of six successful editions, including a virtual event during the pandemic, ILDC has united over 2500 participants from 70+ countries, engaging in over 200 sessions, plenaries, masterclasses, and more. It’s a unique platform that sparks discussions on diverse land issues, fosters interdisciplinary dialogues, and catalyzes research partnerships.
Join us as we gear up for the 7th ILDC at the picturesque campus of FLAME University in Pune, India. This year’s theme, ‘Land: Coping with Transitions and Diversity,’ aims to explore how global climate actions, sustainable development, social justice goals, and inclusive growth aspirations trigger transitions in land tenure amidst its rich diversity.
We invite you to submit abstracts and session proposals that delve into the intersections of land diversity and transitional triggers. This open and inclusive platform encourages researchers, governments, businesses, and practitioners to connect, exchange insights, and collaboratively address the complex challenges in land use, tenure, and administration.
Let’s come together to decipher the intricate relationship between land, transitions, and diversity. Submit your abstracts and be part of the transformative discussions at ILDC 2023!
