Deeply honoured that @CNBCTV18Live has recognised @Razorpay as one of the Architects of UPI, a collective effort that feels like a personal win.

UPI was built by @NPCI_NPCI, whose infrastructure choices made all of this possible, and by an entire ecosystem of banks, PSPs and fintechs that each solved a piece of the puzzle. It’s surprising how well UPI was designed right out of the gate and how many product choices it got right to be really the best payment product in the world.

At Razorpay, our part was making that rail work for businesses. From a home bakery to an enterprise, millions of merchants needed UPI to just work and that's what we did. It’s a privilege to work with our wonderful team everyday, and this recognition belongs to them as much as anyone.

And lastly there are the people of India. They trusted a new way of paying, taught their parents to use it, and made it the default. The behavioural leap within a decade is the real win of UPI. The work isn’t done yet, we still have half a billion people who aren’t on the digital payments bandwagon and the industry will make it happen within the next decade.

Grateful to CNBC-TV18 for the recognition, and even more grateful to have had a front-row seat to this journey.

@Uber_India how come a trip that is charged INR 130 in the afternoon is charged INR 244 in the evening? Same distance! Same route!
