Fingers crossed an NFL team or P4 program comes calling with a job offer after this season, and THIS TIME he actually takes it. We all know that if Choate is here for a fourth season, things are going to be no different.
@NevadaSportsNet Nevada has been 2-10, 2-10, 3-10, 3-9, and 3-4 over the past five seasons. Until a coaching change happens, we’re no different from UTEP.
@whookid562 I’d say it depends on who they want to hire for basketball. Is Nevada looking for an up and coming coach, or are they going to hire a very proven coach? If they are looking for an elite men’s bb coach then it’s possible that they won’t have the funding to do both.
If Choate won’t be fired for going 3-9, 3-10, 4-8 which is a horrible record that would get you fired at just about any other university regardless of the buyout, then at least fire the AD. She’s going to screw up the new basketball hire in 27’

@sports_nevada Yes, but she also hired Choate and agreed to that contract. The only reason Choate isn’t on the hot seat right now is that they gave him a buyout they think they can’t afford.
@GabrielIguodala@JeffChoked If he doesn’t win the San José State game, I’m kinda hoping he loses the rest of his games. Two wins might convince the university to finally fire him.
@LakesideVibes@JeffChoked It’s year 3 and we’re still seeing the same problems with Choate. we have one of the easiest schedules this season with losses to MSU and Middle Tennessee. Next year won’t be better
@WolfPackEnjoyer@JeffChoked While that is true, at any other university, Choate would be fired. Nevada has gone 2-10, 2-10, 3-10, 3-9, and is currently 2-4 over the past five seasons. We can’t just let that slide and accept it as the standard. Football is the biggest sport, and something has to change.
