Today at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, I met and engaged four groups: former NUP members, our muslim supporters , students from higher institutions under Sauti ya Vijana, and the Unstoppable group. They pledged their support, and I thanked them for standing with us.
I urged them to work with us to enforce free education in government schools so that no child is charged illegally. I also called on them to elect leaders who can properly follow up government programmes, including the availability of medicines in hospitals and the implementation of free education.
I strongly condemned corruption in all its forms. Reports of jobs being sold at district level and theft of drugs must stop. I reiterated the message of wealth creation, urging every household to join the money economy through PDM and other government programmes. Uganda is doing well. Our economy is growing steadily, and we now have a surplus in most products.

“Our contracting strategy focuses on ring-fencing selected services to boost local participation, promoting joint ventures for complex scopes, and encouraging international oil companies to attract OEMs to establish workshops and manufacturing plants in Uganda.”

“The green revolution is opening new opportunities — and many of them lie right within our local communities. We must keep our communities fully engaged, because this journey is a shared responsibility. There is already a call for applications on the IEC website to support this effort.
Yet we must also learn from the past: 60% of the joint ventures formed during exploration have since failed. Oil is not a destination; it is a vehicle. Let’s move forward with purpose, beyond extraction.”

📌 EARLIER IN THE YEAF — In my capacity as Corporate Affairs Manager at AGL, I was pleased to coordinate and bring together key stakeholders for a strategic engagement led by Hon. @HonByamukama, Minister of State for Transport.
The session brought logistics and distribution businesses operating along the Stretcher, Ntinda–Nakawa Road into dialogue with key government agencies to align on traffic management measures aimed at enhancing road safety while safeguarding business continuity.
With participation from @KCCAUG and @PoliceUg, we had productive discussions around persistent traffic concerns, including the issue of roadside parking along the corridor.
As a next step, @URAuganda will be invited to join future engagements to explore streamlined and sustainable solutions that support efficient business operations in the area.

Advancing Gender Inclusion in Mining
It was an honour to moderate the Women in Mining Breakfast during the 14th Annual Mineral Wealth Conference. The discussions reaffirmed a critical truth: gender equity is not only a moral and social imperative — it is a legal and economic necessity for the future of Uganda’s mineral sector.
At AGL, we remain committed to supporting women across the mining value chain by promoting inclusion, access to opportunity, and meaningful representation. We recognize that sustainable mining requires policies and practices that uphold the rights, safety, and leadership potential of women at every level.
Thank you to all the participants and partners driving this important agenda forward.
