There's been a lot of talk about how @union_build and @RelayProtocol are building the future of crosschain communication. While both aim for a simple and secure multi-chain world, their approaches and ultimate goals are very different.

Relay's Mission
Think of Relay as a super-efficient payment system for crypto. It's built for speed and low cost, focused on making cross-chain swaps and payments as fast as possible. It achieves this by using relayers who front the capital for transactions, and vaults that manage liquidity. It's a great solution for quick, financial transactions.

Union's Mission
@union_build, on the other hand, is not just an express lane, it's building the entire highway system for blockchains. Its goal is deep interoperability that goes far beyond just payments. Union wants to enable any kind of message or data to be passed securely between chains, and even allow for crosschain smart contract interactions.

Key Differences in How They Work
• Financial vs Infrastructure: @RelayProtocol is a financial utility, using liquidity to enable fast swaps. @union_build is an infrastructure protocol, building a foundational layer for all types of crosschain communication.
• Security Model: Relay uses liquidity providers and a multi-sig system to secure its vaults. Union uses a more advanced, trust-minimized approach with zero knowledge proofs and a consensus engine called CometBLS.
• Execution: Instead of relayers with liquidity, @union_build uses voyagers to transfer messages and a ZK proving system called Galois to cryptographically prove the state of one blockchain to another.
This means you don't have to trust any third party, the security is baked into the math.

Simply Put:
If you need to send a quick payment from one chain to another, @RelayProtocol is a fantastic option. If you're building a dApp that needs to communicate complex information or run a program across multiple blockchains, @union_build is building the trustless, censorship resistant infrastructure to make that possible.
