Entertainment is no longer just content.
The strongest gaming and consumer platforms are becoming ecosystems around attention, culture, and community.
A key theme from our GP @GOduneye’s discussion at the @londonvcnetwork Summit.

At UK Fintech Week, one shift is clear
African fintech is entering a new phase.
Innovation drove the first wave. It won’t define the next.
Now it’s about:
→ trust
→ distribution
→ market infrastructure
Capital doesn’t follow stories. It follows structure.

🚀 Brilliant to have Gbite Oduneye, Managing Partner at ODBA, leading a recent Executive VC Fellowship session, tackling an essential skill for any investor: writing investment memos.
We were kindly hosted at the offices of Jones Day, where Sage Revell gave our Fellows a brief overview of the firm and its work supporting venture-backed companies and funds.
Gbite then led an extended, practitioner-led session that went well beyond the fundamentals. He took our Fellows through the full anatomy of an investment memo:
- The core building blocks: methodology, key metrics, and how to approach valuation with rigour
- How to structure a memo that builds conviction and communicates clearly to an investment committee
- What separates a good memo from one that actually drives a decision
- Lessons learned from his own journey as an investor, including the mistakes that shaped how he evaluates opportunities today
This was one of our most in-depth sessions to date, with Gbite generous with his time and open about the personal side of developing investment judgement.
Our Fellows brought sharp questions on how to balance quantitative analysis with qualitative considerations, and how memo-writing discipline evolves as you mature as an investor.
A huge thank you to Gbite for an extended and candid session, and to Sage Revell and Jones Day for hosting us.

Capital exists. Alignment is the constraint.
