Inside an art museum in China ancient philosophy meets mechanical engineering in motion

This remarkable kinetic sculpture is inspired by Mohist mechanical concepts developed more than 2,000 years ago in ancient China.

Associated with thinkers such as Mozi and later Mohist engineers, these ideas explored how gears, levers, pulleys, and coordinated motion could transform human understanding of mechanics and automation.
