MEP Nina Carberry has been appointed Vice-Chair of a key European Parliament Maritime body.
As part of her new role Carberry will focus on sustainable fisheries, offshore wind and coastal communities.
Today we had a discussion about Norway over-fishing by 40% above what's agreed. This had led to a reduction of 22% in mackerel quota for Irish fishers. The EU must implement the proposed regulation, which can stop this.
