@drmichaellevin This should be a feature of the service, but commercial ones naturally have no incentive to support it. E.g. Mastodon supports exporting your graph and posts as CSV out of the box. https://t.co/CrZBPISq6A is useful for Twitter -> Mastodon migration.
Emergent Microcosms 🌎💻
Time to think about snippets of computer code that can generate complex + delightful virtual worlds.
This playful approach to emergence—algorithms that can unfurl entire virtual universes—are essentially “Emergent Microcosms”

@jmkorhonen The requirements are heavily a function of what can be bootstrapped after landing, meaning technology, biology and other skills. Flinging complete creatures in aluminum cans will likely not be the ultimate form of interstellar space travel.
@PeterZeihan Wildly inappropriate for all energy production != wildly inappropriate. Even waaay up here in Finland solar panels easily pay themselves in a few years, and then keep producing free energy for decades.
@oherrala @jviide You should definitely have corner cases in the rock sample set, such as Planck mass rocks and those contained within their Schwarzschild radius.

In case you were wondering, if all the actively used passenger cars in Finland were electric ones, a single core of Olkiluoto 3 would be enough to charge all of them.
@NASAExoplanets This looks and sounds a lot like it's rendering image data as audio by running an inverse fft on radial pixels. If so, what has that got to do with sound in space?
#lisp#Scheme#r7rs
Making a pet clone of #Elite. The goal remains the same - to test #Ol in high load mode with fun. Source code will be available soon.
As a result I plan few vm internal changes and optimizations. The language itself is still stable and no changes required!
@otus_lisp That would be my approach also. Move fp up, use the free segment in the thread, and synchronize when the thread requires more space. GC would remain in the main thread, but since it takes only a fraction of eval time, parallelizing the rest provides benefits.
