🚨 Sergio Ramos on Paredes & the Controversial Decisions in Spain vs Argentina Final:
Sometimes I still wish I could still play, especially for the national team. I think Spain would have loved me more in this final against Argentina.
I couldn’t hold back from where I was sitting because it was getting out of hand. The first two minutes Paredes got on the pitch, he made a foul, and he did the same to Jude Bellingham - I can remember that.
Getting into the game and getting booked immediately? Even when Enzo Fernández got a red card, he still had the mind to push Ferran Torres. But that was overlooked. For me, it seems the referee didn’t want to have the history of having the highest bookings in a World Cup final.
Look at Nico Williams’ disallowed goal? Till now the referee still owes me an explanation on that, and I must get an answer because where is the contact? Emiliano Martínez claimed to be fouled - how? Even a common VAR review was not done and everyone kept quiet.
For me, they all deserved to be booked. Even Paredes was supposed to join Enzo Fernández while he was leaving, but the referee allowed him just to start a fight after the match? I think he should be banned from playing or maybe he needs my therapy.
But the Spain team were all lucky I was not on the pitch because they would have been rushed to the hospital - even the referee might have joined them.
🚨🗣 Jose Mourinho on Messi and Argentina:
"This world cup actually exposed Messi and Argentina, they're not a good team, just reckless tackles which the referee ignores most of the times"
"Imagine having 0 shot on target in 2 hours of playing football, that says everything about them, they aren't that good and if not for some help, they wouldn't have reach the final"
