Community & Voluntary workers are being forced to strike. Why?
Because they're not paid equally to HSE staff, so people are leaving & services collapsing.
The government agrees they should fund them properly. @DonnellyStephen, @rodericogorman, why are you refusing to?
The government has just days to avert a crisis.
Tonight, the Dáil is hearing statements on why workers who provide disability & homeless services are striking
We're clear. Pay people equally or the services will collapse. The government knows this too, why are they refusing to?
"I'm going to be crying on the picket line but we've no choice. The government has abandoned the elderly" -Martha Buckley, carer of the elderly.
Community & Voluntary on strike next week. The Gov still has time to stop this

I hope this gets traction and spreads. And ultimately leads to the panel system being scrapped 🙏 panel system is a ridiculous method to recruit IMO. Please share @RuaidhriOConno1@_ISCP_
