I bet you're one of those ABCs who are super vocal about Taiwan despite barely speaking Chinese or having much of a life here in Taiwan. Your talking point is so stupid to any serious historian. The Cultural Revolution, despite having excesses, wasn't an attempt at negating Chinese culture. The Terracotta Army was discovered during that period, and many parts of the Great Wall were repaired and reconstructed for the first time during that period.

The Chinese mainland, enjoying true sovereignty, is in a position to truly preserve Chinese culture. The ruling party on Taiwan maintained its interpretation of Chinese culture, but ever since political and, more importantly, economic liberalization, the globalist, cosmopolitan ideology of neoliberalism has eroded Chinese culture much more than the excesses of the Cultural Revolution ever have.

But even then, thousands of years of culture will never be stamped out.

I have questions...

If this Uyghur lady's crime is just being a Uyghur, then why aren't the other 12 million Uyghurs living in Xinjiang also in jail instead of freely happily living their lives as they are?

Why would the Chinese government modernize and upgrade their Uyghur cities the same as all other cities across China plus add Uyghur language to every public sign? To genocide them?

Why would the Chinese government provide Uyghurs with free health care and education to support them? And then to genocide them later? Isnt it easier to genocide uneducated people?

Why is Uyghur language taught in the entire education system? To educate them before genociding them?

The answers to these questions show that your assertion is nothing less than a boldfaced despicable propaganda lie...
