You dont want a hetero romance w a female protag? You're not the target audience. Otome is not for you.
And if you're hurt by this, suck it up and go to a different space with your misogynistic ass who for some reason cant play as a woman.
Exactly and I REFUSE. @Love_Deepspace HAS A PERIOD TRACKER BCS THE TAGRET AUDIENCE AND MC ARE WOMEN. Whatever tf your gender is, you can play, BUT MC IS A WOMAN POINT BLANK PERIOD.
You can't respect that? Then you're just a misogynistic trash. Bye!
MC being a woman isn’t some interchangeable detail you can remove without changing the meaning of the story. her womanhood is woven into the narrative, and across her different lives it repeatedly explores experiences shaped specifically by being a woman
she is persecuted and feared as a witch, locked away as a princess while other people decide what her life should be used for, placed in situations where her freedom, safety and choices are taken from her
even in the present, the story touches on fears and vulnerabilities women recognize - being followed, feeling unsafe, being judged against other women, struggling with expectations placed on us, and simply wanting to be loved wholly – which these men were made to do.
you aren’t simply changing mc’s pronouns but lose part of the meaning the story was written to carry. you can’t demand that the story become genderless just to accommodate your headcanon.
sometimes you are being invited to see the world through someone else’s eyes. these happen to be a woman’s. if your only way of connecting with her story is to erase that, then you were never actually willing to engage with her perspective in the first place.
if her story only becomes worthy of exploring once the woman at its center is erased and her identity rewritten into something else, stop calling it inclusivity. women’s stories are important in their own right, and we are allowed to expect you to respect them as what they are. you are not being excluded simply because, for once, you are being asked to enter our perspective instead of rewriting it around yourself
shared experiences don’t make them interchangeable. you may recognize many of these struggles too, but overlap doesn’t erase the specifically female reality the story is drawing from. relating to a woman’s experience doesn’t make her womanhood irrelevant
The sooner you learn that your self-insert MC with a dick hanging or whatever disgusting fantasy you have IS FOR YOU, NOT FOR PUBLIC. Don’t get mad when we fight back with FACTS whether it’s canon based on what Infold said or with biology since women don’t have dicks. Now GTFO☺️
@ninalexandrama@TotoriMega also if you cant respect women in fiction or real life then maybe youre indenial of being jealous or you just simply hate women. How can we respect you, if you cant respect us?
and when you say lads is a game about heterosexual romance and anyone can play it but we should respect that, they act like you’ve just killed their whole family
If you say something like that, then you haven't understood the core of the story. This is a story about HER. About her interaction with the world and li's
It's a story from a female perspective
