I set out to date a #Stratton compact & ended up questioning how we read them at all. This 1950s piece looks older than it is—painted, worn, & outside the usual guides. Sometimes the most interesting part isn’t the date. It’s what survives in the wear. https://t.co/LjmEzdNTrG
