Obviously vote but if you want to escape the election and have a lovely lunch we’re here for you! We promise that Bryan the Boggart is in a good mood today.
Calling history #teachers and anyone interested in our exhibition Infamous, we have now added new Key Stage 3 Resources as well as a PDF version of the the catalogue online.
These connect Manchester’s social #history & the Industrial Revolution with the Opium War 1839-1842 in China through images from our archive and discussion opium use in Elizabeth Gaskell’s novel Mary Barton.

Political activist Bung Thaluwang passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest, as reported by news sources.
According to the Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, the 28-year-old had been detained on a lese-majeste charge since January 26, when her bail was revoked due to violating bail conditions.
They added that she began a hunger strike on January 27 to advocate for political prisoners' right to bail and to urge the government to halt the prosecution of individuals for political expressions and gatherings. This ultimately led to a decline in her health.
