You can say anything you want in the media these days 🤣
just stick these words in there and you have plausible deniability if it doesnt happen, and if it does happen you look like you have sources
Fans will ignore details and think the story is real
Journalism in the mud
Not JT’s style to make a public statement, he’s already given Brown tons of love over the years. All Tatum does is put his head down, make his teammates better and empowers them on and off the court, and works his ass off. And he gets as much hate as any star I’ve ever seen.
Tatum & Brown have called each other brothers many times throughout their careers.
10 years later & the media looking for any reason to create a false narrative between the Jays
Jaylen Brown is a professional
Brad Stevens is a professional
They have had a working relationship for 10 years
If you don't think Brad talked things over with Jaylen before, during, and after the Giannis Saga then you have lost the plot
Never take for granted that the careers every fanbase is currently hoping their high lottery pick ends up having is what we were blessed to have not once, but twice
Vincent Goodwill is the biggest agenda filled hack out there that somehow skates by.
The Celtics have sent more of his teams home for the summer than he cares to mention.
This “the sky is falling” shit on here is lame as hell. The Celtics did what they had to and came up short.
If JB is upset and can’t get by being traded for a surefire hall of fame 1st ballot guy… that’s on him. The team has enough holes to fill that moves are necessary.
100%
I don’t want to hear anything about the Celtics not standing behind JB for the entirety of his career… no matter how this turns out. They’ve always believed in him more than anyone… whether Danny, Brad, Wyc, or Chisholm are making the calls.
An All-NBA player who finished sixth in MVP voting along with two picks is without question fair value for Giannis, especially compared to what the Heat gave up.
Adding Hugo, Baylor, AND more picks/swaps to the deal essentially takes away any flexibility for this team to continue having roster flexibility and a pipeline to funnel the core with young talent.
Whether people like it or not, this was the right call from Brad Stevens.
I'll piggyback off this and say there was a report yesterday that Jaylen Brown knew he could be dealt, was open to being dealt, and just wanted a resolution within the next 48 hours.
This is egregious, they wanted the Celtics to SIGNIFICANTLY beat Miami’s offer. Jaylen’s inclusion is worth more than the extra couple of picks, swaps, etc.
Bill Simmons suggests the pivot for the Boston Celtics could be to trade Jaylen Brown to the New Orleans Pelicans for Trey Murphy and other assets.
🎥: @BillSimmons
He’s happy the trade for Giannis didn’t go through.
"If you're Jaylen Brown, that's a compliment. That is a compliment in these spaces where you and Giannis are in the same space."
@Rjeff24 talks about how Jaylen Brown may be feeling after being in trade talks for Giannis ✍️
More thoughts on the fallout from the C's not landing Giannis:
- This did NOT come down to Hugo
- Giving up JB + 3-4 picks would've been insane
- Jaylen Brown, if on the market, has tremendous value
- JB might want out, but are there better options for him?
- The C's have LOTS of ways to improve
- It's June 23rd
- Trust Brad Stevens
If it’s really the end, remember that:
-Boston drafted Brown #3 when everyone called it a reach.
-They paid him a max when his star status was shaky.
-They paid him a supermax when people questioned his ability to go left.
That organization believed in Jaylen more than anyone.
