“To be honest, he was lucky to still be on the pitch. He’d already made a couple of reckless challenges earlier in the game, and it felt like he was pushing his luck. Eventually, it caught up with him.

“That challenge on Cubarsí was dangerous. When you go in like that with excessive force, you leave the referee with no choice. Player safety has to come first.
