Delighted to share our strategy for the Chicago Come Home Missing Middle Infill Housing competition. We partnered with @RoseandPartners to propose a modular, scalable and sustainable six-flat for Chicago’s south and west side.

Finally, our scheme is a modular mass timber system and based on a grid that accounts for the fabrication, transport, and assembly of each component. We asymmetrically divided the floor, to include a mixed unit distribution throughout (with two 2BR, two 3BR, and two 4BR).

With the Codman Square Branch of @BPLBoston we designed a canopy made out of easily accessible readymade products including #Unitstrut components and fittings, typically used to support electrical equipment. Here we completely transform it to create a space open to all.

We developed a kit of parts for our #BPLOutdoors: Canopies for shade, light, mist and a series of modular and playful furniture pieces that can be moved around based on the activity. The two systems work together to offer new ways to engage with our @BPLBoston communities.

Roxbury, we heard you! At our community engagement for the @bplboston Roxbury branch, there was a resounding request to bring back your beloved chess tables. Paired with our custom boxes, we introduced a community chess table for #BPLOutdoors Roxbury. Thanks for your partnership.

Our team just completed the #BPLOutdoors space of Codman Square Public Library @BPLBoston. Thanks to the Codman community for your ideas and feedback which helped shape this space and to @YBBoston for bringing it to life.

We hosted our first community workshop in East Boston for our @BPLBoston library project that will reimagine the public outdoor spaces for nine branches. Thanks to everyone who contributed their ideas!
