@ChaseDaniel Tom Clancy has a bunch of modern classics, but you should consider The Hunt For Red October. Tons of fun and, while fiction, is thoroughly researched and expertly exhibits the U.S./Russian Cold War.
@mattderrick I like the players, but it feels like we still need to do more at TE and WR. Gave up too much for #6, IMO. I like the player, but hate not having a 3d round pick. Feels like they could have done a lot with that pick.
@pickeringenergy The phrase is attributed to Willard Vandiver, a Missouri U.S. Congressman, who said … in 1899: “I come from a state that raises corn and cotton and cockleburs and Democrats, and frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. I am from Missouri. You have got to show me.”
@pickeringenergy I grew up in Missouri and learned that it’s called the Show Me State because of the phrase “don’t tell me, show me.” So, you’re using the motto as it’s intended.
@RealBirdLawyer Why? It’s good value and they would get a guy they really like rather than “whoever’s left.” They gave up a lot to get Mahomes and that was well worth it. The Texans gave up a lot 3 years ago to jump up with Arizona to get Will Anderson Jr. that worked out for them.
