Property taxes are so insidious.
Other people print money, causing the nominal value of your house to increase.
Property taxes are assessed on the current value of your home, so as the property value rises, so does your tax bill.
But that extra home value is not liquid and therefore not accessible to pay the increased tax burden.
If the property tax rises too much, some people may need to take on debt or even sell the property to pay it.
This should not stand in any civilized society.
@elonmusk @JamieHutchens4 Is there a way to loosely mimic Reddit’s rank based stacking as far as comments go? Like the replies with the most upvotes get stacked in order. It’d feel more like a public conversation that way. It’s been my biggest issue so far with Twitter. Thx for being open to changes!!
@elonmusk Is there any way to have rank based comments based on likes, like Reddit? FB sucks at it, Insta, Twitter, etc. Would make the UX easier and drive more conversation
Dec 2021 I was still hoping for a 2nd leg of the bull market. But in Q1 2022 it became clear that this bitcoin bull market was over. We entered a bear market since Apr 2021 peak (yes ATH was Nov 2021). Now we are creating a bottom. Then a new bull market will start. BTC cycles.

@electro_sueh@madamimadam4@Swapna43129958@profit8lue@saylor How would they coordinate all of this though? To me, that has always seemed to be too impractical. I think they might exaggerate a trend, but I don’t necessarily think they cause the trends to start in the first place. I think “sentiment” moves prices and whales then magnify.
