Amazing level of detail picked up by @jennycapondraws from my presentation at @TheSIPR on voluntary resignations from the police. It's all here in terms of fairness, transparency, communication, voice, flexibility, culture etc. Can we all learn to draw our research findings?!
Like so many, my Masters journey was impacted by covid but today, I graduated with a Masters of Science from the @Uni_of_Essex. It didn't matter that it was 18 months later than expected, it just made the journey all the more special! #graduation
Research well underway and Pt 1 complete! This included participants who identify as male. The below is Pt 2 of my data collection. The research encourages former officers to have their own voice and allowing them to self-identify is part of that process. Please DM if interested.
Have you voluntarily resigned from the police force in England & Wales since Jan 2020? Did you experience challenges in the professional environment? Do you identify as female? If you are willing to be interviewed for my PhD research, please DM.
@joeyslittertray Thank you for asking- first section of this data collection has already been completed and included men/ preferred pronouns he/him. This is part 2 of data collection.

@LLM_Mal @toniwriter Hopefully this will open up research with a greater time span! If not keep an eye out as other researchers in the field looking at voluntary resignations!
The research is using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to understand the lived experiences of the individual and give those involved a voice. This project is seeking officers who have voluntarily resigned since Jan 2020.
Recruitment information for my PhD research on voluntary resignations from the police force will be released on Friday! My research is using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to give a voice to those who have experienced challenges within the professional environment.
@Derek_Flint1 Very much a working progress at present.. Recruitment information will be released on Friday. Unfortunately this makes up my PhD research and I am only just finishing my 1st year (out of 3!). Feel free to follow me and the progress of this project if it's of interest! 😀
