HB is a grade of the lead and not a brand.

There are H grade and B grade series. But HB is the default. Most pencils you buy are HB.

To buy the other grades, you have to specify that to the seller.

I'll just tell them, "That's the 107th (or whatever number comes to mind) way to pronounce my surname."

Not sure I have ever cared about people pronouncing it correctly. Just spell it right.
