We’re supporting the #ScholarStrike and joining our colleagues across @UCLA_Law in disrupting business-as-usual academia by not going to class and instead engaging in actions that will bring attention to the current racial climate. https://t.co/wY7d3P44mY

Today’s decision by SCOTUS finally affirms in law what we all already know should be: that LGBTQ+ people cannot be discriminated against in the workplace, no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation. Now, we need to push for protections beyond the workplace.
#BREAKING: The Supreme Court has delivered a historic victory for LGBTQ workers, ruling that the federal law that bars sex discrimination in employment does apply to LGBTQ employees.

hi community—thank you for a strong first day ♥️ let’s keep it going. APILSA is the largest affinity group on campus which is a privilege & one small way to use that privilege is to show up with our resources.
@blmlosangeles marched to protest the #LAPD & Jackie Lacey. We marched for justice in the names of #GeorgeFloyd & the 600+ others murdered in LA. We marched in solidarity with our comrades in Michigan. Please donate to the bail fund https://t.co/wkrBZFPvNV

Update: Our community forum is being postponed until next week, as we are working on scheduling with the Dean. More details to follow! If you are a UCLA Law student, we highly encourage you to stay tuned and to attend.
APILSA stands with @UCLABLSA1 , who have started a campaign to address Eugene Volokh, who has used the n-word in lecture and non-lecture settings, and to bring attention to the experiences of Black students at UCLA Law. Please go show solidarity and check out their website!
Thank you all again for your support. We wrote a public statement to respond to recent developments, including Professor Bainbridge’s public apology and the Dean’s school-wide email.

We are aware of the article posted by Eugene Volokh yesterday on his blog ("UCLA Law Dean apologizes . . . ."). We stand in solidarity with the UCLA Black Law Students Association, and are ready to help however we can. This is unacceptable.
Update: We are still planning a forum wherein students can have a conversation about xenophobic concerns and community healing. We gladly note that our Dean has expressed interest in attending. UCLA Law students - stay tuned for date and details. Thanks for your support!
