@LawyerCat_ I think this depends. Youre correct that often times it’s arbitrary and nothing will come of blowing a deadline, but other times I’ll send a subdued demand to an insurance co hoping the blow the deadline so I have a stronger bad faith case. Or if there’s a atty fee provision, etc
